Bill Maher believes that Republicans would rather vote for Bin Laden than Hillary Clinton.

Maher siad 'Hillary is not a liberal like me. John Kerry is a liberal. Hillary Clinton is more to the centre. It would be a disaster for her to win the democratic nomination as Republicans would never vote for her. They would rather vote for Bin Laden than her. Republicans hate her more than a man who killed 3,000 people. These same brain-dead people believed that Saddam was apart of the 9/11 attacks, so why would they vote for Hillary? The liberals wont vote for her as she is not one of them.'

Is he right, would a republican rather vote for Bin Laden than Hillary Clinton.

I think it is most certainly yes.

Why did you start this thread?  Do you want Republicans to respect you in the least bit?  This seems rather trollish to me, and I'm a Democrat.

No, it would be a GREAT thing for her to win the nomination.  I'm encouraging all Democrats to ensure she gets the nomination.

It highlights the fact that the democrats have no option but to tell her not to run and if she does we cant allow her to win the nomination for the good of the party.

She will have alot of money and she has alot of charisma. Democrats will listen to her during the primaries. She could get the nomination but then states such as Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota wouldn't vote for her as so many people HATE her.

93% of people that meet with a nominee usually vote for them. I asked Modu if he had a cup of coffee with her would he vote for her? He said No. Now you can say thats the 7% of people that dont vote for the nominee that they meet. But you get the sense that he has blind hatred for someone who is attacked more than any person in the country.

Hillary Clinton has had 182 attacks on her from Fox News since Jan 1st.

Hillary is an embarassment to our party, after the GTA ordeal. I hope she looses her senate race.

I approved of her husband, but that doesn't mean I would have voted for him or endorsed him.  I approve of Mark Warner, but unless a terrible GOP or third party candidate were running, I wouldn't vote for him either.

Bill Maher is a comedian, don't take everything he says literally, sheesh.

I used to be a big fan, and actually his "Ride Alone" book makes some good points. Maher is not the most biased left winger out there, as well, though I disagree with him on some things(especially after I became libertarian).

Bill Maher is much more sensible than most people think. Have you ever watched his show on HBO? He's hosted some very interesting politicians, including governors and senators.

Casey, John was a Democrat.

More of a left wing independent. I supported the Dems mainly just because I didn't like what the Reps were doing and thought it was my only other choice.

Maher must be on acid or LSD or something.

Hey, I guess Democrats would vote for Josef Stalin before they'd vote for Bush. These brain dead people don't care about the millions of peasants Stalin killed and thousands of political opponents.

I guess I can be a comedian too. Ha ha ha - wasn't that funny?

Nice little way to make a plug for her at the beginning too - I'm a liberal, she's not [so dammit, vote for her!].

I couldn't have put it better myself.  It would be one less Democrat, but I wouldn't miss her.  Hopefully, the addition of Casey would maintain the status quo.

Mahr always struck me as a left leaning libertarian.

And his job is that of a political satirist.  Certainly folks here have heard of "yellow dog Democrats" - Democrats from the old south who would vote for a yellow dog rather than a Republican.

Times have changed, and the one time hardcore Democrats have become hardcore Republcans.   I don't think anyone would be suprised that there are Republcans who would choose a yellow dog over a Democrat (and Dems who still think similar).  All he did was replace "yellow dog" with "Usoma", and "Democrat" with "Hillary".   Same point + more shock value = edgy humor = more people talking about him = free publicity.

Hey that's not nice.  And you talk about alienating liberals when people like you try to alienate moderates like myself.  You're gonna want people like me if you want to win.

So do you think Max Power is a closet Republican too?

If you're a Democrat, then why do you wish for moderate Democrats like Hillary to be defeated?

No, and Maher doesn't believe this either.  He's an entertainer trying to make a point.

I don't really like Maher BTW but I understand not to take the quote as face value.

This was obviously a joke.  Some people here are taking it way too seriously.
