With over 48 hours having passed, Boston, MA has been chosen by the voters of the Labor Party as the site for the upcoming Labor Party Convention. The convention will now open shortly.

This assumes that you actually go to the Chamber, which you don't.

At least I didn't get my party to prop up a dead guy who will have a 0% attendance rate.

We actually didn't do anything. The people just prefer a dead guy over you.

Federalist puppets support other federalist puppets. No surprise there.

Fairboi was likely recruited for the seat by the Feds, but they also couldn't know about how he wouldn't campaign. So no, they didn't "prop up" anyone.

Please have this discussion in another thread, as it is not needed in the headquarters of the Labor Party.

Hello all, I'm honored to have the chance to address the Labor Party.

As you all know, we have an election coming up for Senator in Fremont. I'm here to ask for your party's endorsement because I believe that we both share the common values of civility, activity, and cooperation.

I'm running in this campaign to represent a new, better kind of politics. Politics that represents respect for the common man. Politics that represents greater representation of all the people. And politics that works for everyone. And these are values and goals that we both have and will strive to achieve.

Now, don't get me wrong, my opponent surely believes in these values also. However, a quick look at both our records would reveal the fact that, in my past two terms in the House and as just a general citizen of Atlasia, I have more consistently upheld these values in every setting than my opponent. I believe that the time the voters entrusted me with in the House (and hopefully will trust me with in the Senate) is far too valuable to disrespect my constituents by arguing with other citizens for extended periods of time (that could be used writing bills in Congress) about topics unrelated to my office. However, even if I did engage in this, I would ensure that I remain an ambassador of Fremont's famous spirit of goodwill, and to not needlessly agitate other citizens.

Additionally, while others claim in many campaigns to be "bipartisan", I have the credentials to back a claim like that up. Only just about two hours ago I posted a bill co-written by a member of Peace, and another bill I have on the floor right now is being co-sponsored by a member of the PUP.

Finally, in the House, I've maintained a 100% activity rate, and I have been engaged in debate in every corner of the House. If elected to the Senate, I would continue this record, and ensure that I am always using my time to help Fremontians and Atlasians.

I realize I likely wasn't your first choice for Senator. However, if you believe in the same values I do, of civility, cooperation, and activity, and you strive to want to see better and more civil politics, then I ask for your vote.

Thank you for your time.

I also ask for the endorsement of the Labor Party in the upcoming Fremont Senate election

All of your requests have been duly noted. In the meantime, I hereby motion to expel Young Texan from the Labor Party. I didn't realize that he was a member of the Party, and if I had known I would have motioned to expel him much earlier. Young Texan was forced to resign from the Senate in disgrace after a scandal in which he engaged in identity fraud on the IRC. I believe that he does not belong in the Party. Also, he is clearly just in the Party to be a troll, as his views do not match up with the Party's views at all. I don't believe that the bylaws mention expulsion from the Party, so instead, with the powers vested in me as Chair, I move that Young Texan be expelled by acclamation. In order to avoid a long and bureaucratic process, if no one objects to the articles of expulsion by 11:59 PM EST tonight, then Young Texan shall be officially expelled from the Labor Party.

Both of your requests have been duly noted. Meanwhile, Young Texan has been officially expelled from the Labor Party. I also have a very big announcement to make. I hereby motion to merge the Labor Party with the Progressive Union Party. I know that it would be extremely sad to see Labor go, but at this point the Party really has no reason to exist anymore. It is very inactive, and no Labor candidates ever run for political office anymore. At this point, all Labor is doing is dividing the anti-Federalist, progressive left. If Labor were to merge with the PUP, then a popular, united front for liberalism could be established. I will now open voting for the merger. Voting will last 48 hours.

Laborites, there is currently less than 24 hours left to vote, so be sure to make your voice heard on the proposed Labor-PUP merger!

So one person voting aye is going to change the registrations of over 20 Atlasians?

So in the end we finally learn the truth. Tongue

Only when a party nears death can it show it's true colors. When you think about it, that maroon looked pretty reddish to me! Coincidence? I think not.

Good sir! PUP's is to commemorate the Red Panda! How dare you imply communist tendencies on such a poor, defenseless creature.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: red pandas and a proudly difficult disposition aren't the same thing as being happy.

Why don't you just tax Alliance and redistribute their color. After all, the first time socialism came to Atlasia, it came wrapped in the cascades and holding a cute animal.

This may need to be included in our next platform. DFW, take notes!
