LABOR PARTY OF ATLASIA

Protect, Provide, Prosper

. . .

So, yeah. . . that happened.

With the departure of Never Again, I in my capacity as Deputy Chair of the Labor National Committee have assumed the duties and responsibilities of Temporary Acting Chairman. Good Lord.

I will be perfectly frank with all of you : I do not know how long I will consent to remain in this position, or even whether it will be expedient for me to continue in the leadership of this party. It is no secret that I never wanted to be Chairman; I have seen enough to know that it is a soul-killing, thankless job, and particularly so in the present climate. For the moment, however, I'm in charge here, and I will attempt in the coming hours and days to address those remaining questions before our party : namely, the selection of a replacement for Representative OneJ and figuring out what the H*ll we're supposed to do now.

Yours,

Harry S Truman

My suggestion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWL90wryyOw

Dr. Novella is literally the only candidate who isn't awful - I see no others.

It's pretty obvious - while Clyde, mistakenly thinking Atlasia was about campaigns, did a policy-based campaign, President dfwliberty did a Nice Guy FF Wink Wink campaign, which has always won Atlasia campaigns for the right.

And there were several real Labor ex-officials who bought into dfwliberty's campaign and endorsed him.

As a member of the Silly wing of the Labor Party, I propose splitting the party in two - Real Labor and Fake Labor. Fake Labor can endorse Feds and do whatever they want policy-wise, while Real Labor can be the real left-wing opposition. (I suppose the Lib Dems will be the party of Fake Labor, so...)

I mean,
I didn't give a crap anymore about this game as I am so busy. It appears that Labor is in crisis right now, so I propose my services until the crisis ends.

Even if I never was elected chairman/vice chairman, I was the de facto leader of Labor with Griffin during 2014-2015 period. I have experience with winning tough battles most notably the 2014 June presidential election where Labor won against every other ticket, and the 2014 October Mideast Senate election where I was the first leftwinger winning in the Mideast.

So, I'm proposing my experience to rebrand this party, a la Pit making a comeback two years ago when Yankee lost his Southern seat.

It is important that the two coalition parties system remain, if one of the sides collapses, the game risks to crash. The game almost crashed when the federalists were in crisis 2 years ago, and it would definitely crash if there isn't a viable opposition from the left.

Well, that sucked. This election was rough. And it might be someone's fault. And it might be tempting to find that someone. And you might want to see if they float. But, what we really need is to look to the future. We need a change. We need a new leader who will turn things around: windjammer.

Also I'm running too. Fhtagn said she might come back to Labor if I become chair, so. . .

My three goals would be:

1) Secession as part of the Labor platform.
2) Dfw got his thread started before I could post this, so I'll just say right now it wasn't his idea and we should not give him credit for it ever.
3) Making windjammer chair.

Thank you, and I hope you vote your conscience.

There goes my only selling point. Dropping out and endorsing Peebs for chair.

I mean,
I understand you are all pissed because Labor has lost.

But still, it's important to move on and focus on future.

Right, I suppose we'll commence nominations for the office of Chair, followed by a general vote after the 48 hour period has expired.

On a somewhat-related note, I hereby appoint JGibson to replace OneJ in the House of Representatives.

As a wise man once said, "Well, that sucked. This election was rough. And it might be someone's fault. And it might be tempting to find that someone. And you might want to see if they float. But, what we really need is to look to the future. We need a change. We need a new leader who will turn things around." And so, to quote another wise man, a tragic party chair I've quoted before: "eh, who care", for I am running for Chair. As the first one said, fhtagn mentioned that she might come back to Labor if I become chair. What he didn't mention, however, is that West_Midlander might, too. So...

My three goals would be:

1) Changing the term for a member of the Labor Party from "Laborite" to "Labia".
2) Convincing fhtagn and West_Midlander to come back.
3) Making TimTurner chair.

Thank you, and I hope you vote your conscience.

Given that there is so much demand for me to come back, I will also be throwing my name in for Labor Chair.

My three goals would be:
1. Finding out why everyone wants me back so bad.
2. Baking everyone cookies because why not.
3. Making Peebs chair.
