Donald Trump governs like a corrupt kleptocrat, always looking out for his cronies. This is new to America, something which few of us will like. His favorable ratings are in fact the same as when he took office--but he was up against an equally unpopular opponent which led many to stay home. That being said, his job approval are what are in the toilet right now--he now has a voting and policy history that can be used against him, something that couldn't be done in the last election--he won't have the "outsider" image any longer.

No matter how right-wing you may be, Cal, you'll eventually find that the common trait amongst all but a few within today's GOP is the lack of any sort of capacity for logical reasoning, empathy, or pragmatism. In short, brainlessness. They are so intellectually bankrupt that they cannot even adhere to a coherent "pro-business" line, and thus repudiate the consensus of corporate America things like the Paris Agreement, the EXIM Bank, or a functional healthcare system for the sake of a few deep pocketed ideologues.
