California Governor Gray Davis never gets recalled after his 2002 reelection (the recall doesn't make it to the ballot). He runs for president in 2004 as a moderate-to-liberal Democrat with his long reputation in government. He beats John Kerry, Howard Dean and John Edwards in the primaries. After his nomination, Governor Davis selects General and dropped-out candidate Wesley Clark as his running mate to strenghten the ticket on national-security issues.

He faces the Bush/Cheney Republican ticket. Who wins? Discuss with maps.
