I want stronger protections still personally, but I'm willing to settle with this for now. I would be totally okay with a final vote.

I agree with Tim's concerns on this, but also JTC's reasoning why a "family veto" idea wouldn't work (honestly that seems like the best possible recipe for long-lasting family drama, guilt, and resentment Tongue). It's a touchy subject that I'm kind of on the fence on overall, but I think Vern's version is just about the best bill that could be written on the topic.

Any agent of the state who acts to kill anyone in the State of Texas per this bill will be charged with Murder per statute laws.
