(or maybe, <puts on giant, red, white and blue conspiracy hat>, maybe, they did it on purpose.  Maybe there are deep trojans in the stolen hackware?  Letting the NSA get knowledge on who is using it, where they got it and all their base will belong to us?  Highly unlikely, sure, but we can dream damn it!)
