Trump's insecurity and narcissism is killing the state department.

With what is Tillerson fed up? He hasn't done anything.

It's unpleasant, but political issues like these always exist in the Executive Branch, and ultimately, Tillerson should've known that came with the territory of being a Cabinet Secretary. I don't necessarily support Trump in this, but I don't really think this is terribly abnormal either.

The WH is micromanaging the state department and leaking damning stuff about him.

I don't like Rex, but if this is true, he has a right to be upset. You can't work effectively in that kind of environment.

This is terribly abnormal.
In past administrations, there is some of this.
But this year, the orange clown has taken it to the extreme. trump is micro-managing.

He fires all US attorneys and most of the department heads .... all before he and his advisors have replacements. Why ? .... Because narcissistic and childish trump didn't get Nazi-era "loyalty pledges" or unjustly feels some sort of retaliation from this group.
So they must be immediately ejected, as if he was some kind of dictator who would even "terminate" his own uncle working for him.

I don't .... at all.
Tillerson seems intelligent. Why the hell he couldn't read that this administration would be run like a circus, is beyond me.
It was more than obvious to the average bear.

I don't know why anyone agreed to join the Trump administration, unless they already have a screw loose, like Conway and Spicer. Bunch of weirdos.

Imagine having to manage US policy on the Saudi-Qatar dispute with the WH contradicting itself every 5 minutes. Yeesh. In a major diplomatic crisis the world will be ed.

Ditto. I think he's honestly trying to do the best he can with a job he's not well-suited for, with not enough staff. Most of what he's said has been pretty normal, and it sucks to see Trump contradict him so often.

I was among the crowd who thought Tillerson would be a disaster, but I'm starting to reverse that estimation. He's trying to do his job, and Trump's ego is creating a disaster for him.

God help us. If Tillerson and Mattis actually had a hand in policy, we might not be on the edge of a lethal freefall with either Syria or North Korea.

Tillerson seemed pretty sketchy from the beginning imo and was clearly pretty unqualified to serve in any sort of state department post.  Most importantly, no one made him take the job.  The devil can hand you a piece of paper, but only you can decide to sign your name.

It's simple. Tillerson is the top diplomat and he's in an administration that doesn't respect diplomacy, or his department. Period.

I am guessing he was one of the cabinent picks that didn't see themselves as trying to phase out their departments?

The only time I've ever felt bad for someone in the administration was about a month ago when Spicer wasn't brought along to meet the pope. Even for Trump that was cold.

Trump should hold another fake job interview with Romney. That was probably the single most widely-liked charade of his presidency thus far, so maybe it'll help him bump those approvals back up.

Actually Tillerson is a poor dude, since Kushner is de-fecto playing the role of Secretary of State. And he can't criticze the prez' son-in-law. The whole thing is certainly not the normal. Family members of a president do not belong into an administration.
