PSA for the "lul libs so triggered" types: If the most compelling argument you can think of in favor of your ideology is how much it pisses off other people, then your ideology sucks.

Another way to explain it to your kid, is to say that power corrupts, and he's saying precisely because he faces no consequences. It almost makes me wish I had a kid of the appropriate age because I would call them over and discuss this whole thing in detail.

I think this is the worst thing he's said since becoming President. I was just sitting there in shock looking at these tweets earlier.

I know he's done much worse than this. But I still found myself shocked.

With this awful President I am losing my ability to be shocked.

None of this is new. Trump regularly engaged in this sort of behavior prior to and during the campaign, so anyone with sense should've expected it to continue when he became President. The overwhelming majority of people who voted for Trump simply aren't bothered by his vulgarity and total lack of dignity. And all these Republicans lining up to denounce him today, will be laughing with him, calling him up for endorsements, and signing his desired legislation tomorrow. It's all a show. Face it, Trump can do and say whatever trashy thing he wants and his base (i.e. 80% of the GOP) will line up behind him anyway, if not cheer him on.

That's where we are today. About 40% of the country is simply trash.

In order to understand the magnitude of the "content," you need the "volume."

Right, and when you decide they're old enough, they'll probably be old enough to realize it was a stupid tweet and you won't need to explain anything.  Smiley

The office once held by Washington, Lincoln, Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Reagan is now held by a man who acts like this. Absolutely mortifying.

And I'm very glad he doesn't anymore!

But yes, GOP civil war continues and I could not be more delighted that the Trump Insurgency is still finding trouble six months in. I'm like that kid with the popcorn everytime he tweets and causes trouble for himself.

Quite honestly, being #NeverTrump is great. No Hillary while one can fling political rocks at the Trump people futilely trying to govern. What's that word? Oh yeah, #WINNING

This must be a little bittersweet for you, right? Given that there's a good chance the events we're living through right now are the death rattles of Reaganite conservatism.

Banderas is one of the few liberals they allow on Fox, so it's like having Rachel Maddow criticizing Trump, it's not Hannity or Tucker criticizing him. This was stupid what he said and he should stop the nim-nod tweeting.

With respect to Romney McDaniel's comment, it's absurd how "acting like a human" has become a sort of defense. Yes, he acted like a human, as he does every day. And humans do sh**tty things, and this was a sh**tty thing. A certain sort of human, most resembling the Joe Pesci character in Goodfellas, are both very insecure and very powerful. This type of human is the most dangerous of all.

Let's not whitewash Reagan's legacy as something we should mourn the destruction of.

Why should he stop?...it fires your base up.

Nothing gets the GOP goobers more motivated than fear, latent racism, hatred, misogyny, and tribal division.

Trump knows what you guys like and he keeps giving it to you.
You're an idiotic hack, you know that? I can never get on this forum and go 5 posts without someone calling the GOP some kinda hateful party. Grow the f*** up.
