Personally, I very much doubt it, and I say that as a (private sector) trickster myself.

His persona has all the classic traits of a constructed strawman. My guess is that the real 'Roger Stone' is five or six guys in a broom closet at the RNC. And the Netflix documentary is obviously meant to reinforce the Great Man narrative. Perhaps Stone himself actually believes he's the Prince of Darkness, but the reality is probably inversely proportional to the fervency of the belief.
