How about actually finishing one TL instead of starting and abandoning multiple threads?

I don't see the problem here? There is a certain kind of person whose mind is finicky and drops projects more easily than others.

Though obviously it is good in general to finish TLs, that's a given. But some people will jump between multiple projects.

2 of his TL's involve dead presidents. Am I onto something?

And we shouldn't tolerate this. It is contrary to any efforts to properly catalog the whole of the What-If? canon when two-post timelines are made and then abandoned.

DKrol is much worse in this respect as his timelines are actually good.

I haven't seen any evidence Jaguar4life is truly exceptional here, or completely out of line. Show me proof.
And even if he is truly exceptional, that could just mean his mind allows him to post a lot when he is in the mood to do so.

I acknowledge the criticism and accept the compliment.

Obviously it's just a suggestion, since it would be silly of me to arbitrary lock/delete unfinished projects, but Cathcon makes a good point about quality and efforts put in serious projects here. I'm sorry, but littering the board with aborted two-post TLs is kind of like spam.

For my defense: I think the reason that people like my TLs is that they're well thought out and detailed. Obviously, they take much more work to produce. For the UKNA TL I have going on now, every post equates to 3 or more hours of writing, editing, and formatting. Working full time, I can't just sit and crank them out rapid fire like I have been able to with some of my less intense TLs in the past. I'm sorry, but I want to make sure I'm producing top-quality content. That's why some of my other TLs have died off - I try to crank out too much, too fast and the quality suffers and I get upset with it and stop writing.

Large pauses between updating a TL are not the same as abandoning it, obviously.
