Many say that this ticket in 2004 could have beaten Bush-Cheney. 1988 presidential candidate and former House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt came from Missouri and was close to John Kerry.

Edwards was a trash pick. I’m not sure if this would have flipped OH or MO, but it could have.

Also it almost definitely flips IA at least.

I think Gephardt is really overrated, people tend to forget just how bad he was at his job as House Minority Leader. I don't really feel he would've changed much.

Gephardt or Bayh would have looked more presidential than Edwards...
