I want the Blackhawks to do well, but I don't really follow hockey, so I don't call myself a "fan."  I also love watching the USMNT play for soccer, and I actually might get the most pumped for that out of any sporting event when the World Cup comes around.  Then there are other teams that I feel a true connection to and want to do well, but I'm not a "fan":

NCAAF: Iowa Hawkeyes (alma mater, had a great experience there ... just never could develop a passion for the Hawkeyes growing up as an Illini fan among shlt talking Iowa fans, LOL) and Northern Illinois Huskies (where my parents met)
NCAAB: Iowa Hawkeyes (see above), Bradley Braves (Peoria's hometown team, where my dad got his MBA) and Butler Bulldogs (my sister's alma mater)
