I personally am getting weary of threads based on what some cretin in the current White House said on the talk shows or posted on Twitter, but this one speaks of policy, so I'll comment:

The most insufferable thing about what Conway said is that she and the rest of her party don't believe those people deserve health care, either, especially through Medicaid.

Not just that, but, I think it's pretty reasonable to say that someone who can't afford to purchase insurance through the private market is "poor and needy" and thus should be getting coverage through Medicaid.

The Republicans have this bizarre, Victorian notion of poverty where poor people are tuberculosis-stricken orphans in rags, and crippled widows asking for alms on streetcorners.
