Does anyone else pay attention to this? Or am I weird? I'm always watching leaders (especially during the often lengthy photo ops that only C-SPAN airs) at these events, and I thought the Macron move was hilarious. Maybe I'm crazy, but did anyone else see how Trump looked downward at Macron with a slight smirk? He knew what Macron was doing, and I think he respected him for it.



Likewise, was anyone else wondering why Putin looked so uncomfortable with Trump? I expected the two to be laughing it up, glad-handing, back-slapping, etc. I figured Putin would go out of his way to look almost unnaturally comfortable with Trump to both weaken him at home (the American media would have a field day obviously) and internationally. Yet Putin seemed distant, whereas Trump turned to face him directly often.



Apologies for such a superficial topic, I just find it fascinating.

I do think Trump legitimately likes and respects Macron. You can even make the case he secretly preferred him over Le Pen due to his past as a banker and Economic Minister.
