Just read an article saying that Bannon is allegedly in favor of keeping the highest income rate % for the wealthiest in the 40 percents.  If this is true this shows Bannon might be taking a page out of the European nationalist parties play book by going to the left on taxes/finance matters. Also this provides good food for discussion among lefties who would assume that Bannon would be their worst enemy in Trump administration when in fact on some issues (global intervention, now maybe taxes if this is true,) he is closer to them than others in the administration.

Bannon would at the very least need Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress after 2018 to do that. Except that he'll do everything in his power to prevent those majorities to come into existence. That's the schizophrenia of the alt-right for you.

I don't really care what I agree with Steve Bannon on. It's the things that I disagree with him on that make me dislike him and still believe he isn't a good person to counsel the President.

Mnuchin shot this down in record time demonstrating the Reagan framework on taxes still prevails.

He's probably talking income tax on earned income, which is small potatoes relative to income tax on capital gains and other passive income for "the rich."
