How will whites, blacks , and Hispanics vote in NJ Gubernatorial election?

My random guess:

56.5% Murphy (D)
38.4% Guadagno (R)
5.1% Others

White (67%): 48-46 Guadagno
Black (14%): 92-5 Murphy
Hispanic (14%): 69-28 Murphy
Other (5%): 63-32 Murphy

That's a large third party vote. What makes you say that?

I’m not MT Treasurer, but there probably are a lot of Republicans who hate Christie and don’t want to vote for his Lt. Governor. But they don’t want to vote for a liberal Democrat, either, so they’ll vote third party instead. I’m not convinced those folks will not just come home to Guadango in the end, though.

I don't even think it's that large given what the polls are showing. Guadagno and Murphy aren't really generating a lot of enthusiasm, it seems.

It has more to due with low name recognition. At the end of the day, people are going to go into the voting booth and vote for whatever name is under their preferred party. Being an NJ resident at the moment, enthusiasm is low for both candidates but that doesn't mean people wont vote or vote third party.
