Massive HP. I also hate how Trumpites believe they can use him to control the court like a political weapon. Ie. Travel Ban case.

Agreed. You know the GOP would have done the exact same thing to Hillary's Supreme Court pick as what they did to Garland. Absolutely illegitimate "justice".

Neil Gorsuch is fine. I just object to the political process that put him on the Supreme Court, not his actual nomination. He's the type of justice I'd support. (FWIW I backed Scalia for Chief Justice in 2005).

I think Mitch McConnell made a serious mistake and made this way more of a big deal than it should've been. The partisan games played with the Garland/Gorsuch nomination will come back to hurt the GOP down the line. It's the sort of thing that I don't think was worth it. The problem is that McConnell utilized a nuclear option, basically, on seating Supreme Court Justices thus probably inviting the Democrats to escalate when they have the opportunity. To be completely fair, Reid's work in 2001-2006 wasn't great either and nor was his 2013 ending of the filibuster for lower circuit judges.

FF. I only wish Garland had gotten the seat and Gorsuch had taken the seat of Thomas or Alito.

A right wing zealot who Trumpists foolishly believe will ratify their man's dictatorship.

FF. He's off to a great start.

Also, there was nothing illegal about what the Republicans did in order to get him on the bench. He is legitimate.

Not illegitimate. However the Republican Party made a mistake in the hyper political way they put him on the Court. Think about it and the consequences; there won't always be a Republican majority.
