Is 547 new users in the month of November atypically high?
Also, what has become of the Generation of posters that registered in November 2012 (240 users), October (188 users), September (120 users), and August (148 users).
Lastly it's astonishing that 504 users signed up in September 2010. That was a monthly regisration # that served as an all-time high for 62 months.

The November registration was probably related to the election.

More specifically, Dave temporarily made the forum unviewable for those who weren't logged in (in order to conserve bandwidth), and so hundreds of lurkers decided to register so they could continue to read the forum.

A not-insignificant number of registrations are also spam bots.

For the past few elections, Atlas registrations seem to follow a pattern of low(er) registrations during presidential election years then a surge afterwards. The Trump era seems so chalk full of excitement that activity levels on Atlas are way above what was normal before 2016 but not quite the same as presidential year activity.  Could be a new baseline for the site, which would indicate it is growing pretty nicely.

We don't have many dominating personalities anymore, either. There are probably fifty of us who have made at least 12,500 posts in the last two years or so. Do you realize how amazing that is?

I seriously doubt that.

OK, just looked it up.  Both you and Antonio have made over 12,500 posts in the last two years.  Is there anyone else who may have done so that's worth checking?  Even Kal, one of the most prolific posters, hasn't made that many posts in the last two years.

Geez, I haven't made 12,500 posts in the last 13 years. Please don't waste your teens and twenties on a political forum.

I started posting frequently at about the same time as Virginia and maybe CXS, in January after a break or several months in late 2015 IIRC.

You've probably made more PMs.
