He is an American, he is a taxpayer, and he doesn't like the current state of American politics. He has every right to run for office than a regular, traditional politician.

He's an American. Qualification doesn't really matter any more. If you are a citizen, and want to change something, why not run? It's his country. His state.

He was an activist for a lot of years before he even ran for office. Kid Rock is some B-list musicians who can't even decide what genre he is in who voiced a few political opinions here and there.

If 311 singer Nick Hexum tried to primary Feinstein and advanced to the November runoff, he would probably win Mendocino, Humboldt, and Santa Cruz counties in the runoff. I wonder if Kid Rock would win some counties in the Republican primary.
