I have major beef with John Lewis after they rejected my application to work for them way back when... and besides, my family were more Marks and Spencer middle class than Waitrose middle class.
More seriously, whilst John Lewis is a partnership, it's hardly a full blown worker cooperative of the type the forum communists seem to envisage. I mean, half of its board isn't elected, and neither is a considerable segment of it's 'partnership council'.
