I noticed that there's no right to bear arms in the Southern Constitution. The bill includes that right into the Regional Constitution and allows the CoD the power to enact gun control, but this bill doesn't attempt to do so. Federal/regional existing gun law will remain at a status-quo.

I'd like this amendment. It seems a tad bit more pragmatic to just have this.

I second West_Midlander's amendment. It takes into account Diptheriadan's concerns while still protecting the constitutional right for Southerners to bear arms and defend themselves.

Clarification: This bill is a Constitutional amendment, as per the original text of the bill as posted in the Southern Legislation Introduction thread.

I'd like to introduce a bill (in the form of an amendment to the Constitution): "The Right to Bear Arms Bill"

I'm calling for an 11th amendment to the Southern Bill of Rights, with the following text (below):

Would anyone object if I called a final vote?

Ben, this enshrines gun rights in the Southern Constitution. I think Southerners ought to be allowed to have a gun to hunt and defend their homes, regardless of what policy comes from Nyman. I am happy to have voted for this.
If there was anything we passed as of late that should please you, this would be the one.

Yes, an amendment to the Southern Constitution. (Given, the name I gave it is weird.)
