I hate to say it, but HP. Her zero tolerance on the abortion issue and refusal to step aside and let the party move on is just unforgivable. She is my least favorite Democrat.

Huge FF considering how incredibly effective as Speaker. Unfortunately, she's too easy to demonize, so I think her time is up.

I believe you're thinking of Perez? Pelosi said the opposite of that.

HP. She's the most extreme House leader of any major party in recent history.

I forgot that she said that. Credit to her on that, but I still think that it was under her leadership with DWS that the pro-life Dems were purged from the party.

I have no opinions of her personally, but as the ranking leader of my party in the House of Representatives, she needs to go. She's been in that position for 14 years and has only been Speaker for 4 of them. Sure, she's good at raising money, but what good did it do? It's time for new leadership and a new (well, Old as the economic platform I'd like my party to embrace is the one of FDR, Truman, JFK, and LBJ) platform.

This opinion is not even in the realm of civilized debate after the passage of the AHCA in the house. It's just wrong.

Bob Casey is pro-life, and last I heard he is still a party member.

She did some good things and is ideologically not too far away from me. But her time as leader has passed. Democrats in the House need a fresh new face. Tim Ryan would be a good alternative. Mild FF.

It speaks volumes about the Dem talent pool that she's lasted for as long as she has. What are the chances that, like Reid, she's replaced by another old-timer?

Never liked her. DWS before DWS was a thing, and shares a massive amount of responsibility (along with Obama) for the ugly presentation of Obamacare to the public and the House flipping in 2010.

All the Democratic leadership is over 70, but she hates Steny Hoyer, who's 2nd in command.

But yes she's awful- her only saving grace was that she could raise a bucketful of money, but looking at the last 3 House cycles, and the special elections that's only worth a certain amount.

I'm not sure who could A.) Get the Job B.) do it well, but after being leader, for what 15 years you have to start thinking about leaving. I expect she'll leave when the democrats fail to take the house in 2018

An HP, but solely for staying leader far longer than is necessary. She needed to leave after 2010, or 2012 at the latest. 2014 and 2016? I think she cost us a bit in that, just because she was such an easy target as leader.

And if that means Steny Hoyer was leader for a bit, then so be it, it'd at least be someone else. Preferably I'd like a House Minority John Lewis for a cycle though, before turning it over to a younger Congressperson.

Pelosi has always been atrocious, and the justification for her remaining at the forefront of the House Caucus grows less and less convincing every day.

HP. She's the most extreme House leader of any major party in recent history.

We literally have an Ayn Rand cultist as Speaker right now. How is Pelosi, who scoffs at the idea of single-payer & responded to one student's critique of capitalism with "we're capitalists and that's just the way it is!" (paraphrasing, obviously), more "extreme" than the man trying to gut health insurance for twenty million people for purely ideological reasons? That doesn't even make sense.

I don't argue with people to the left of Corbyn and Melenchon.
