New York City mayor Bill de Blasio has a 41% approval rating, 57% disapproval rating. Some NYC and NYS Democrats, are starting to worry about his candidacy against State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/Brooklyn). City Comptroller Scott Stringer decides to run for mayor and challenge him in the September Democratic mayoral primary.  Who wins?

Nice try. That article is from 14 months ago. Bill de Blasio's approval/disapproval was 50-42 at the end of July, slightly down from 60-34 in May. If he wins the primary, he's going to win reelection.
