In 2000 and 2004 GW Bush won this county but from 2008 on no Republican presidential candidate has won this county since. Anyone know why? Hillary won it 51-44 percent

Same reason Dems have improved in nearly all urban areas, especially New South metros and urban counties.

It's home to Birmingham, Alabama's largest city, which has experienced an influx of people from other states. It's just like Mecklenburg County NC (Charlotte).
