Let's discuss. Everyone backs trump in this campaign. Alabama was solid Trump in both primaries and General election.

I forgot about the primary runoff. I think Strange will win the runoff.

Morre is probably too polarizing to get to 50% in a primary so I will say Moore finishes at around 35% in the first round and looses to Strange 56-44.

Agree. It'll probably be Strange but I'm hoping for Brooks.

I'll be bold and say Moore wins outright. He's a hero to conservative groups, and Strange's appointment process will leave him unpopular in-state. As for Brooks, he probably finishes just ahead of Strange...but he can still run for re-election in 2018 (and probably will).

Moore 50.98%
Brooks 23.16%
Strange 22.88%

I think the runoff will be between Moore and Strange. I think Strange wins the runoff because he's the incumbent.

I kind of doubt Roy Moore gets the nomination, but it would be fun to watch it play out if he does. It would be a victory for the base and a middle finger to the establishment if he gets the nomination, but he could also be the only Republican that could manage to lose in Alabama. If Moore doesn't win the first round outright, I could see him win a second round against Strange, who seems like doesn't seem like a particularly strong candidate. Plus, Strange is one of the few remaining Republicans who have lost a statewide general election in Alabama.

Anyway, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Brooks wins against Moore in the runoff.

Well, I know you all have Scott Brown winning a senate seat in MA when you all think that Moore could lose.

But remember, AL is a much more inelastic state than MA

Could a very conservative Democrat like Parker Griffith (who opposes the Affordable Care Act) or Richard Lindsey defeat Moore?
