reminder she was a bitter old homophobe, who banned schools and councils even mentioning the word 'gay' but was happy for her PPS to do pretty unquestionable things in care homes

Her economic policies are directly responsible for decades of economic misery in significant parts of the country whilst the super rich got much, much richer; she caused a (possibly insurmountable) divide between Scotland and the rest of the UK; her policies on Northern Ireland basically prevented any peace from coming around until she was well out the picture whilst dramatically increasing divides in the province, her social policies entrenched homophobia in the education system until the 2000s (whilst ignoring her pals who were diddling kids); etcetera.  She was a terrible Prime Minister, who greatly divided a country.

She did help inspire some really good music though.

Actually it was Aneurin Bevan (who had, I think it is fair to say, rather different politics) who said that.
