Alabama vs. Mississippi

Anyway, Mississippi obviously.

I'd want to be either on the Gulf Coast, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, or in the Huntsville metro.  I'd probably go with Alabama, but it'd be a close call.

FWIW, I've always just considered Alabama a more urban, slightly less Black Mississippi.

Since Alabama Whites are more urban, and I actually think it makes the state more of a hot bed for Koch brothers-style Republicanism.  Not sure why most Forumites would prefer living under that....

I really don't think I'd do well in either state. But in terms of my opinion of those states, I have more of a favorable view of Mississippi.

Also, it's generally a better state overall. For example, they have easily the highest unionization rates in the Deep South, and it's not even close, too.
