I cant believe the president would say this about his own AG.
Though I despise Sessions, Sessions was just doing the right thing by recusing himself from all Russian matters/investigations.

Then again, Sessions should have known that working for trump was going to be a circus, so I don't feel sorry for him at all. He is just going to need to suck-up to the fact that the orange-haired clown is now publically berating and embarrassing him.

Watch the video to hear trump's own words in the interview he gave to the New York Times.

Honestly, I find myself deeply conflicted in regards to this. On one hand, Sessions is a despicable person and him as Attorney General I think is damaging to this country. It's like this man is stuck in the 1980s. However, on the other hand, I almost rather have the Justice Dept. leadership just stay the same until Mueller completes his investigation(s). Trump shaking up leadership could put the future of that in doubt, and I think it is very important we get to the bottom of what happened in 2016 and any shady business since then.

I suspect the person to get this gig will be a New Yorker. Maybe Roslynn Mauskopf, Dennis Vacco, or George Pataki. But I suspect that either Giuliani will get it, or Kushner will manage to regain his influence. And if Kushner does, Trump may manage competence yet.

The thing that amazes me about this is that Trump is angry about the Russia recusal, but by his own words, the Russian-related stuff is "fake news" and just, uh, well, trumped-up charges by sore-loser Democrats. If that's the case, it shouldn't matter that his AG recused himself from Russia-related stuff, because he didn't hire him to deal with the Russia issue, he hired him to do all the many other things that AGs do. Like returning to the war on drugs, etc etc, which Sessions is still hacking away at.

But, Trump is very self-focused and can't seem to hold more than a few ideas in his head at any one time, so I guess it's not too surprising he's forgotten that the AG is there for a lot more than just special investigations. I'm also with Virginia on this: if Sessions is out, it makes this whole mess even messier, and we don't need that. While I don't like the things Sessions is doing, they can be dealt with fairly easily in the future. If he gets the boot, it may make the investigation extremely difficult.

Trump has absolutely no comprehension of the concept of conflict of interest.

Trump has absolutely no comprehension of the concept of conflict of interest.

Sure he does, but it's not the one most people use.  For Trump, something is either in his interest or else it's a conflict.

Bilbo says he's a non-resignator... at the moment.

Is that a reference to Mississippi segregationist Senator Theodore Bilbo? If so, well played sir!

Well, on second thought, it's not entirely fair to sessions. For all his region racism Bilbo actually enacted some Progressive measures as Governor like compulsory school education. No one would ever accuse sections of having done anything remotely Progressive throughout his career.

I assumed it was a reference to Bilbo Baggins (hobbit) given Sessions's height.

Sometimes I wonder if trump does this to all "his people" to reinforce in their mind that all they are, is just his bitches.
They need to comply with everything he says, regardless of how ridiculous and unlawful it may actually be.
He is the Master, and they are slaves.
As time passes on the job, any credibility, professionalism and respect from family, friends and colleagues they once had before taking their post as "a bitch," is diminished and then gone forever.

I never knew sessions was a bit of a runt. Though at five foot seven and a fraction I consider that term relative. Tongue

It's nice to see that some of the GOP Senators have some nuts (no offence to the female Senators) ....

trump continued to attack his own AG this morning (Monday).
This tweet was sent out at 5:49 am (Pacific).
It seems that trump is intentionally trying to push Sessions to resign.
Soon, trump will have no one left in his administration.
The trump presidency is a disaster !

Several sources reporting that Trump is considering replacing Sessions with Giuliani. The original source reporting this appears to be Axios, whatever that is, citing White House officials so take with the appropriate measure of salt. http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/343426-trump-floats-possibility-of-giuliani-replacing-sessions-as-attorney

If he fires Sessions, it will be a mistake at least as bad as firing Comey. That this isn't obvious to Trump just confirms how disconnected from reality he is.

God help us.
I don't know who is a worse human being .... Sessions or Giuliani ?
I cant get over in my mind how Giuliani was a drooling mad-man at the Republican Convention (he was insanely nuts !).

If he fires Sessions, I believe his support will begin to erode among Republicans.

Giuliani has no chance of getting confirmed right now.
