Like the Astros. Houston's Johnson Space Center. Soft spot for the Old Houston Oilers too.

Not a Cowboys fan but don't hate them either - maybe being NFC helps. Sort of like the Mavs better than the Rockets, though. Never should have moved the North Stars.

As for colleges I like Rice. SMU OK. University of Houston so-so.

So marginally for Houston.

Neither.  Probably Houston if I had to choose.

Most likely Dallas. I would probably prefer Houston sports-wise (Texans > Cowboys; Astros > Rangers; Stars suck; but Mavs > Rockets), but from what I hear Houston sucks and Dallas is kind of a pleasant place to live. Plus I will get to go to (hopefully) cheap hockey games when the Blackhawks come to town.

Never been to either, but my friends who have visited Dallas had a great time ... honestly, if you're with the right group of people and in the right mindset and enjoy bars enough, almost anywhere is a good time.  I'll tentatively vote Dallas, but both cities seem really cool.

Dallas is much better city for young people but I'd rather settle down and start a family in Houston.
