A Bernie Style Democratic Socialist (that is, so long as they don't use the term "Democratic Socialist"). After that, I'd say a Moderate Populist Politician.

LeBron would reach a lot of voters who are normally not tuned into politics

A moderate who has the common touch especially with respect to rural areas. A Socialist will lose the election in a landslide.

If LeBron were to pull off a presidential campaign while still playing for the Cavs, he could become a working-class hero. I think he could bring back the Rust Belt and boost turnout among African-Americans nationwide.

Professional Athlete LeBron James (D-OH) / Governor Gwen Graham (D-FL) - 368 EV - 53.0%
President Donald J. Trump (R-NY) / Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN) - 170 EV - 45.8%

I know, but I just put him as an example of that type of heartland moderate Democrat. Some others are John Bel Edwards, Sherrod Brown, Heidi Heitkamp, All Franken, or Joe Manchin.

Besides white coastal liberals and identity politics, any of these have a strong chance, as long as the candidate exudes charisma.

I'll go with veteran anyway, just because that'd knock the teeth out of the chickenhawkery going on, and it'd look better regarding national security issues.

Heitkamp or Manchin yes, but Brown and Franken are way too liberal to be called moderates

It's definitely somewhere in the middle between those two options. I think Sanders could be the next Reagan though.

Maybe the next Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, but not a Reagan. More of the anti-Reagan

Politically the anti-Reagan, but electorally he shares a fair amount similarities with Reagan.

LMAO @ minority civil rights advocate only getting one vote (mine).

TX, FL, GA, NC, and AZ collectively have 109 electoral votes. That's hard to match.

I voted for "moderate heartland populist", but I think the "black or brown identity politics" candidate is being underrated here. I know that the phrase "identity politics" has a lot of negative stigma, but I think that in moderate doses it can be successful and will help convert AZ/GA/NC into true swing or leaning blue states. Do I think that focusing solely on this message is a winning strategy? Likely not. But I feel like the term "identity politics" is now mainly used by critics to demean anyone who makes an effort to reach out to any minority group. I think there is a healthy balance to be struck there.

I really don't think that many Bernie-esque democratic socialist candidates would really be all that successful, to be honest. I think there are still just too many moderate WWC people who are extremely turned off by the phrase "democratic socialism". Do I think that Bernie would've done better than Hillary? Probably, but just because Hillary was extremely unpopular. I also think Bernie is particularly genuine and that was a large part of why he could sell his policies so well among at least some of the WWC base, so a candidate who lacks that quality wouldn't be nearly as appealing.

I think a guy like Bullock. But I may be biased because he's my favorite. But he could win the Rust Belt back and some states like Florida and North Carolina as well. He would carry the other Democratic states anyway.

How about George McGovern? Both were out of touch with most of America and were destined for landslide defeats.

Kayne West is a Republican actually. He said as well he's running as a third party candidate not a democrat

I'm surprised white costal liberal is so low. I think Gillibrand is a front-runner. If you take out the white qualifier, you have Harris and Booker in the mix as well. Biden sort of fits this category, as does Cuomo. Do people actually expect Joaquin Castro or Elizabeth Warren to win?

I think Bullock could, but not a populist. If you look at his record, he's not a populist.
