He will likely be defeated in 2020. No president has ever won re-election with such a low approval rating, and we haven't even had a major crisis yet. Will go down like Carter in 1980, but more polarizing.

How does option 4 even work?  He's removed from office some time between Jan. 1 and Jan. 20, 2021?  Why would Congress even bother, if we're that close to the end of his term?

I don't think he runs again unless he's still accomplished nothing by 2020, in which he'll run and probably be reelected because the Democrats nominate someone nasty like Kamala Harris.
