Using Scalise shooting audio in a political ad has to rank up there with one of the most craven political acts in recent memory.

This makes the Willie Horton ad look tame and well-meaning.

Jesus, at least Karen Handel's ad was done by a PAC and not her campaign.

I hope that Scalise himself, will also speak-out against this ad.
Disgusting.

Saxby Chambliss was much more disgusting in 2002.

Attacking the media will be a key strategy for the GOP in 2018. That's already been leaked before and this ad is evidence of it.

Will it work? I hate to believe it, but yes, yes it will. It'll rile up their base. Doesn't mean it's a guarantee to keep the House though.

The whole thing is just sick. Why does it matter that the shooter was a Sanders supporter first of all?

He's running for the Republican nomination for Senate in Alabama. Think about who he is seeking to appeal to. Therein lies your answer

The shooting of Scalise is important, as it reminds the voters that the losing party of the 2016 election is unable to lose an election with a shred of class and dignity.

We should remind the voters that they shot Scalise!

The GOP did not lose with dignity in 2008 or 2012.  That the Democrats upped the ante doesn't make the "resistance" right, but it does make it somewhat predictable.

"You lie!" - Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) at Obama's SOTU address.  Was that class or what?

Either this ad will get him elected Senator, or cost him re-election in 2018 (he already faces a primary challenger).

I don't see it helping at all, but Mo Brooks isn't going anywhere. John McCain gets shot down, pimps out his service for thirty years, and gets lauded. The outrage is selective anyway.

There is very little evidence that Jared Lee Loughner was a conservative, but that didn't stop the left from blaming us for what he did.

You realize there's a difference between being a POW who was beaten mercilessly and refused his freedom until other POWs were freed and being the guy who tries to capitalize off of "giving his belt as a tourniquet" during a political assassination attempt, right?
