Which is your favorite "little brother", less popular (in a shared market) MLB team?

I picked these teams as they seem to be less popular in their given markets (Mets < Yankees; White Sox < Cubs; Angels < Dodgers; A's < Giants).

I decided to include the Royals, since the cardinals are by far the most popular team in Missouri and that region, and probably have a big number of fans in KC. It was tough for me to designate a big brother or little brother among the Pennsylvania, Ohio, or Texas teams as they seem pretty even to me. But maybe an insider could enlighten us. And even though the Marlins should be a more popular team than the Rays, I don't think even Miami really cares about them.

But what say you?

The Astros are nowhere near as popular as the Rangers.

The Mets, easily...though a case could arguably be made for the either the Marlins or the Rays (depending on which team you support) or the Nationals.

Yeah the nationals really probably should be considered a Little Brother, as the Orioles are way more established. But the Nationals have done a great job fully establishing themselves in 12 years. I wouldn't be surprised if they surpass the Orioles in number of fans in the future.

The Anaheim Angels (They're the Anaheim Angels and not the Los Angeles Angels [of Anaheim] to me). Rally Monkey, Mike Trout, and Albert Pujols are reason enough for me to root for them.

Cardinals will be my #1 MLB team until the end of time for me.

Angels Purple heart

The Anaheim Angels (They're the Anaheim Angels and not the Los Angeles Angels [of Anaheim] to me).

They're officially branded as the Los Angeles Angels though.

They are still officially the LAAoA, but the team has chosen to brand itself on its social media presence as just the LAA. They intended recently to officially drop the "oA" but that was never finalized.

Oh for sure.  I was a leadoff hitter, though, so I had a soft spot for those scrappy fellows at the top. Smiley

KC Royals. I have fond memories of leading the Royals to the WS in MVP Baseball 2005 as a kid. For some reason I have a Royals baseball cap and I rooted for them in their WS win against the SF Giants.
