I'll be honest, I don't know enough about/have enough interest in Spain to take it on. I might consider the Dutch or someone else though?

I'd be happy to welcome you as the Dutch! Smiley

Also, I'm going to be gone on a 20 mile hike this weekend, so I will be unable to formally close the turn until Sunday evening. Technically that gives you an additional 24 hours to post responses, etc. while I'm away.

It's funny that even not playing anymore, X's actions continue to have massive consequences.

What was your favorite moment in the last Balance of power game? (in the 1930's?)

Me definitely the conference of Istanbul which resulted in the game overs of the two protagonists.

I know this is not the place for this, but I'll confess: I was laughing as that agreement was being negotiated, because of all of the reactions I'd be forced to simulate as GM.

Btw, I love this game so much that I hope that when this will end, there will be Concert of Europe 2.0 some decades later, like we did with Balance of Power!

I remember when I told NeverAgain over PM: "dude, seriously, the opium thing is like the worst idea ever." And he was like "that's OK, I have it under control."

Honest question,
Is Prussia buying Hannover really realistic? I honestly don't think so.

For RL reasons I won't be able to react to the developments today. Just saying this so nobody thinks I dodge him.
