Needed to be asked. My preferred selections are Cheerios, the three basic forms of Chex, and a few more generally un-sugared boxes. Within the fruit world, Blueberry Morning is always a(n expensive) winner. In the realm of the ridiculously sweet, I'd have to go with Apple Jacks.

Unless you're including oatmeal or muesli, I hate cereal, but if I had to choose, I'd go for plain Shredded Wheat.

My standard choices are Cracklin Oat Bran, Quaker Oat Squares, Grape Nuts, and Shredded Wheat (Mini-Wheats will do, too). I don't eat a lot of veggies and rely on my breakfast cereal to provide a decent portion of my dietary fiber.

And I suppose if you consider oatmeal a hot cereal, then:

I'm a Special K man. My favorite is Fruit and Yogurt, but Red Berries and Cinnamon Pecan are also good ways to start the day.

A bowl a Special K, some peanut butter toast, a cup of coffee, and the morning news...can't beat it.

Current faves are post raisin bran and the new special k cereals with quinoa (coconut cranberry and apple raspberry). Frosted mini wheats and cinnamon life find their way into my cabinet once in a while too. In the rare moments when they're on sale, I like to pick up the flax cereals from nature's path like pumpkin raisin crunch and blueberry cinnamon flax. Have also been known to pick up lucky charms or chocolate special k once in a while but for dessert, not breakfast.

And of course.. O A T M E A L.

Haven't had cereal in a couple years, but the winners from my experience are Cheerios (with strawberries and blueberries) or if we're talking plain cereal, then I'd go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

If we're mentioning oatmeal, then I have to give a shoutout to my beloved Dinosaur Eggs!

This is not a cereal.

I'm partial to fruity and cocoa pebbles, but I've started to venture away from sugary cereals. I like Special K, Raisin Bran, and Honey Bunches of Oats. I guess Frosted Flakes are considered "sugary" but I like to cut up some fruit and put it in a bowl of them.

I was forced to eat cream of wheat after a stomach surgery a few years ago and, let's just say, it didn't go well. Since then I can't stand to even look at the stuff.

Not even with a dollop of brown sugar and butter?
