Inspired by Alabama Indy's poll on the 1992 election, who would have been your first and second choice four years later? (I had to remake the poll because I forgot to allow two votes per user)

If all three candidates had a serious chance of winning, for me it would probably have been Ross Perot followed by Bill Clinton (but as Perot had very little chance of winning I would have probably voted for Clinton).

1. Dole
2. Clinton

1996 would honestly be the last time I could've conceivably voted for the Dem over the GOP (without hindsight). I like Bob Dole, but he was never inspiring and some of Gingrich's actions as Speaker would've turned me off a bit. And Bill Clinton was never a bad president in my view. However, having Jack Kemp on the GOP ticket would be enough for me to stick w/ the GOP in '96, but only by a small amount.

I mean, I could just as easily support Dole. Regardless, I'm never voting for proto-Trump.

1. Dole; simply for being far more honest than Clinton a relatively moderate Republican.
2. Clinton

3. Perot (unelectable hack)

First choice Dole, second choice Perot (I have a grudge against Perot for spoiling Bush's re-election, but he's still better than Clinton)
