In my own lifetime, probably the LDS apostle Dieter F Uchtdorf, and the previous LDS church president/prophet Gordon B Hinckley.

Uchtdorf is a very well-spoken guy who oozes charisma and preaches acceptance and tolerance and is very inclusive compared to the culture warriors within the Church. I highly admire him.

Hinckley, who is now deceased, was very down to earth, with a wry humor and very good-natured sermons.

Of the deceased, John Wesley is a top five person in any theological list for Protestants.

In recent times: Raymond Cardinal Burke, Anthanasius Schneider ORC. There's a lot of great young catholic priests especially in the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), ICKSP, FSSP and a few in the SSPX. I prefer more traditional clergy.

Rev. William Barber II
John Pavlovitz
Traci Blackmon
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Barry Lynn
Rachel Held Evans
Billy Graham

Almost all those tend to be Christian left (sans Graham and Lynn).

If I'm watching TV-based preaching, I'm more likely to watch The Daily Mass on EWTN over the likes of TBN or Daystar. The homilies are usually on point (depending on who is celebrant and/or homilist), as long as they avoid mentioning political issues like abortion or LGBTQ rights.

Fred Rogers.

Technically he counts, even he did end up being told to continue with doing what he does on TV instead of staying in churches.

I like Bishop Spong as he is not afraid to tell the truth about Christianity.

For example.

'Hell' as an invention of the church

I will also be watching this honest preacher closely.

Bishop John Spong.

He knows Christianity is dying in the West and wants it to basically change to a more Gnostic Christian religion because as John Lennon says, the only good Christian is a Gnostic Christian.

He has a book called Jesus for the non-religious and he is meaning regular Christians as they are not following their religions moral tenets at all.

Yes, Spong is a good author. I actually met him once. He has a lot to offer.

Indeed.

So does Gnostic Christianity, if that worthiness and excellence is recognized today.

It was in the past, and that recognition of excellence, unlike Christianity and Islam, is why it grew by good arguments and morals, while the others used Inquisitions and Jihads.
