How soon until Joe Manchin becomes a Republican or an independent?

Never

Nah it's just some green.

But it did kinda move me. My family comes from WV. It's a big part of our lives. My grandma speaks of it like its, appropriately enough, almost Heaven. We play Country Roads at our weddings. They spread my grandpa's ashes by the Sutton Dam. It's just nice to see WV being on the frontline of Trumpism, even if it ends up like Newfoundland at the Somme.

I think you have that in reverse. A safe rat is heading straight first into a sinking ship.

Nah. Check the election.
Pretty said that the only way you can defend your orange asshole is by bringing up an election that was 9 months ago.
Remember Congressman Ossof?
"Liberals are violent!"
Nah, a liberal totally didn't shoot up a baseball game.

Justice said what I've been saying for so long and been laughed at for - Trump restored our self-esteem like Reagan did in the 80s.

Jim from accounting feels like a tough guy now. That's not a good thing.

Who's going to run against him? Moore Capito's too moderate, Mooney's a carpetbagger from Maryland...Jenkins will either have just lost a tough election or just be a freshly elected Senator...maybe Morrisey (if he doesn't win the primary against Jenkins, let alone against Manchin).

Jim Justice himself is gonna be pretty moderate for the state GOP.

That's arguably true for his staunch supporters, but when 54% of the country is embarrassed to have him as their President -- more than twice those who are proud -- it's hard to say that it's the same as the change in the national mood that Reagan brought about.

Are you confused about losing? Terms last for 4 years.

If Jim Justice is bailing now, it is because he doesn't want to be associated with the likes of Warren and Linda Sarsour. Look at what happened to Russ Feingold; he was dragged down by Hillary Clinton's vile personality.

But Republicans still hate him. They have no reason to work with an interloper. Changing parties didn't save Arlen Specter.

That didn't help the real deal who ran against Jim in 2016. Or Dr. Kelli Ward.

I'm not saying that Trump isn't President. I'm saying that the GOP's reputation has suffered tremendously in these last 7 months.

He spoke favorably of both and in Ward's case, very unfavorably of her opponent.

Trump won WV by over 40 points. Gallup estimates his approval rating there at 60%. Suggesting that switching to R is somehow a poor political move for Jim Justice is ludicrously ignorant.
