Nah man. Justice was the prototypical DINO. He joined the party just for ballot access.

Trump won WV by over 40 points. Gallup estimates his approval rating there at 60%. Suggesting that switching to R is somehow a poor political move for Jim Justice is ludicrously ignorant.
Probably isn't helpful. As has been pointed out, the reason he temporarily claimed to be a Democrat was he likely would have lost the GOP primary, so he switched parties so that he could have a chance of running against Cole in the General. He'll certainly face credible primary opposition.

Why was it thought he couldn't win the GOP primaries? And do you think he will be primaried in 2020?

Uh that requires him to run for re-election.

Fun Fact: Jim Justice is the first Republican Governor of West Virginia not named Cecil Underwood (Who served 1957-1961, and again 1997-2001) or Arch Moore (Who served 1969-1977, and again 1985-1989) since 1933.

somehow I never realized that a ton of coal is priced only about as much as a barrel of crude petroleum.
