Sh#t's lucrative since its such a niche market.

Yep yep yep. It was really the plan throughout engineering school to go into patent law.

Very nice. Very smart. Hat's off to you for doing something quite hard.

By the way, very good choice on the part of the o p to make the choices poli-sci and other.

Too many other options to list 'em all. PoliSci seems to be beating the individual majors people are listing, though some of the others look to have a couple practicioners.

For the record, my current employment stems from having done CJ, rather than political science. Ideally, I will practice at much higher levels in both before the darkness takes me.

NOTA, yet. I'm undecided between PoliSci and International Relations at the moment, since I really enjoy both. Plenty of time to think it over.

Is there not some way to combine those two at your educational institution? Seems like one normally can.

One is conventionally seen as a sub-field of the other.

I haven't done in-depth research on majors yet, more focused on what schools to try for and what I need to do to get into them. Tongue

Oh, I thought you were undeclared. Not still in HS. Still, don't worry about it. Your experience with professors is what will likely push you over the edge one way or the other. I started out thinking I would do IR.

If you do International Relations, Princeton has probably the best department for that in the country.

How was/is the job market for that MPA? I've seen mixed reviews about it. My university offered me a grant to pursue an MBA or MPA with them, but I've been reluctant to accept since I'm weighing my options and trying to figure out what's best for my future career prospects.

Eh, I see both of your points. I hope I have good enough grades to get into Princeton or somewhere equally good, but I'm also going to apply to plenty of safer schools that have solid PoliSci programs.
