Pollster:

Bangor would be cool but I don't think it has the infrastructure to handle something this big.  For starters, what would be the venue?

For the Democrats i'd say somewhere in the south to try and push further in southern states so possibly Birmingham (Alabama), Miami (Florida), San Antonio (Texas), New Orleans (Louisiana) or even swing states like Ohio, Indiana, Michigan etc.

For the Republicans Las Vegas (Nevada) would be a good option as well as possibly Richmond (Virginia), Milwaukee (Wisconsin), Phoenix (Arizona) etc.

I say Detroit for the 2020 DNC, Phoenix if they insist on the sun belt.

Holding a convention does not, and has not ever = winning the state in modern times.

That being said, Honolulu for the Democrats.

WI, PA or MI. Dead serious. We need to recapture the Rust Belt.

Dem convention should be in Indianapolis. Just throw some shade right at Pence.

2016 was in Philly so I think PA is out. Milwaukee would be an interesting choice.

Somewhere in the rust belt for both. PA, Michigan, or Ohio. Might as well get the small bounce (if there is one) in an important state. Florida is never a bad idea, either.
