In high school, I oft dreamed of having ten and when the realities of the real world slowly started setting in, that dropped to 2 or 3, which has further dropped recently to 'perhaps 2 when I am in my very late 30s and can actually afford to with all degrees paid off and all houses majority paid off'

No worries. My two kids are adults now, aware of AF, and have no interest. At most they've been amused at my road trip threads.
