*Left graph is 1980, right graph is 2014. The X-axis, moving left to right, is the income percentile from 0-100%. The Y axis is income growth ranging from 0 to +6%. In 1980, the average income growth was 2.0%; in 2014 it was 1.4%. Most significant was the thick gray line that shows the income growth rates for the income percentiles; the left chart is mostly flat but shows higher gains among low income and lower gains among high income in 1980, but 0% gains among low income and nearly 6% gains among top 1% in 2014*
