I don't know how long you've been a member or lurked before joining, but it'll become clear enough, trust me.

Only registered recently, but I've been popping in from time to time, every few months or so, to get a read on what people are saying on certain issues... since... maybe 2008 or so?

I don't know if that counts as lurking or not.  I guess it hasn't been frequent enough for me to "get it."  Or I'm just slow (distinct possibility, that).

Yes, quite familiar with NoVA and this type of person.

But this demographic can be found in almost every large metro, so I suppose I wouldn't have expected a particular disdain for VA.  Then again, this is a politics forum, so perhaps not all that surprising that you'd have a disproportionally large amount of users from the DC metro area.

I've never noticed it, but then again, like I said, maybe I'm slow.

No, there are plenty of bad Virginia posters who don't fit this mold. Shua and Sunrise are both awful, for example.
