The purpose of this legislation, quite plainly, is to authorize the civil authorities of this Republic and of the Lincoln Region to bring the full might of the law against the NLLC. I should hope the reasons for this would be self-evident: we are talking about a group that has deliberately targeted civilians, destroyed public property, and kidnapped a federal officer in a bloodthirsty and illegal campaign for power. This is simply unacceptable, and I implore the Congress to act swiftly to enact this legislation.

I have only one question about the text as is: does this bill give the Attorney General unlimited authority to designate someone as a terrorist without probable cause or a warrant?
It does not. The Justice Department would continue to be restrained by the normal rules of due process, probable cause, and the constitutional rights of alleged criminals; this provision simply allows the Attorney General to act quickly to stamp out any "sister groups" that may align themselves with the NLLC. A similar clause was included in the
Conservagreen Brigade Terrorist Designation Act passed by the Congress last year.
