The "alt-left" slur is used by liberals to equate members of the DSA, supporters of the Sanders 2016 presidential campaign, any Democrat critical of the failed party leadership, etc. to literal Neo-Nazis, even when people who meet said descriptions are the ones getting killed by these thugs. This is indefensible to anyone except centrist hacks like yourself.

It isn't a slur, but continue on that tangent if you like.  I know that it keeps you and the DSA going.  And I'm nothing close to a centrist, but nice strawman.

If you really need me to spell it out for you I will.  You're acting like that guy who every time a black person says something about a racist white person (whether it is a story or just expressing general annoyance) goes but actually and goes on to proclaim that not all white people are racist.  You and others love to insert yourselves into terms, phrases, stories just so you can be the centre of attention.  So that you can take up just that little bit more room from those who really need it.  It's a very common occurrence with white folk on both the left and right.
