Yeah, he's almost as unlikely to switch parties as Susan Collins!

I might actually agree with that now.

I really thought Collins would leave and become an Independent caucusing with the Democrats.  I can still see her becoming an Independent caucusing with the GOP, but maybe not.  The GOP lost control of the Senate after failing to placate Jim Jeffords on a parochial issue, so perhaps they've learned from that.

To what?  The Democrats would reject him.  Maybe the Constitution Party would take him.

Hey, they're probably desperate enough to take him.
If Donald Trump is a "constitutionalist", then I am pro-choice, pro-SSM.  He's about as far away from the Howard Phillips line as one could imagine.
