It really is a fascinating social experiment. I find myself going from deranged rants about how Trump is Nietzsche incarnate to hackishly defending him depending on the context and time.

I chose none of the above.

The best word to describe my feeling is "indifference."

Mostly just exhaustion, I can't really bring myself to have any stronger feelings about him than that.

Not my president... but it tends to switch between anger, disgust, fascination, and amusement (but more of a darkly/cynical kind).

Disgust at how his amateurish demeanor and selection of militarist corporatists in so many key roles has led to some truly backward and regressive policies. Its driven everyone to this hyper-reactive state.

I also picked ambivalence as on a few occasions from his election it shows that the presidency should not be as powerful and important as it is right now that one man and his picks for the executive branch can rewrite things overnight so easily (c.f Jeff Sessions and the DOJ). It also calls into question the massive and ineffective US bureaucracy, and so many aspects of the state that are really struggling and sweeping so many unfortunate people under. This is both a source of trouble and promise that we could really fix things but other things could as a result of the 'fixes' by the administration make things far worse or conversely lead to reactions from the left and center which would also make things worse such as local laws to counter Trump's federal policies make it harder for the rest of us.

Anger and disgust sum it up about right. Not exhaustion because he's actually given me more energy and made me more engaged than I was in the later Obama years when I slightly tuned out and got a bit indifferent. I'm one of those people who gets more energized by negativity and stopping something bad than by positivity.

To me, after the frightening roller coaster that was the 2016 election, Trump's Presidency feels fairly uneventful.  Maybe it was just because I was incessantly following the horserace and am looking at the news less, but I can't summon up the energy to get animated by much.
