Some very bad news...

Hello,

I just want to let everyone know if I'm acting different, I received some very bad news today... A friend of mine committed suicide. I'm not going to go into details, but I just felt like sharing just to let everyone know that I am in a very sad state of mind. I'm not sure what to say, really, this comes as a huge surprise and I'm still in a state of disbelief and shock. She was always nice and happy, and no one close to her even knew she was contemplating it. This is really a big surprise. I just needed to put this out there in case anyone wonders if I'm acting strange.

I truly hope things work out for your second friend and they find the peace and healing they need to work through this. It's not easy and they are lucky to have friends like you who truly care and support them.

Did the two friends know each other?  Sometimes knowing someone who killed themself can encourage someone else to try to do the same.

I've been trying my best to comfort my second friend, but what's worse is that she was feeling physically sick yesterday, and I sent a text last night asking if she was okay and she said I was fine. If it went different, I'd be dealing with two deaths. Thank you for your kind words.

They did not know each other; that's one reason why this has been greatly distressing.

So very Sorry for your loss.  Losing a close friend/ Loved one to suicide is such an awful thing. I lost my brother almost 6 years ago. I know things seem so hard right now.  But slowly things will get better.   Just reach out if you need to vent. And don't be sacred to seek professional help if you think you need it.
